Everything you need to know about purchasing and using our digital embroidery files.

📁 File Formats Included

Every digital embroidery design from Master Embro includes the following formats in a single .ZIP archive, You have to extract the zip file after downloading it, and select the file format that suits your embroidery machine.

  • DST – Tajima (most universal, compatible with nearly all embroidery machines)
  • PES – Brother / Babylock
  • JEF – Janome
  • EXP – Melco / Bernina
  • VP3 – Husqvarna Viking / Pfaff
  • XXX – Singer
  • HUS – Husqvarna

If your machine format is not listed, contact us — we're happy to help.

💻 Software Compatibility

The included files can be used directly on your embroidery machine by copying them to the embroidery machine via flash disk, or you can open them using embroidery software.
Our embroidery files are compatible with all major digitizing and embroidery software, including:

  • Wilcom EmbroideryStudio (e3, e4, e4.5)
  • Hatch Embroidery (Digitizer, Composer)
  • Brother PE-Design
  • Embrilliance
  • Ink/Stitch (Inkscape plugin – free & open source)
  • SewArt

DST and PES formats can be imported directly into most software without any conversion.

⬇️ How to Download Your Files

  1. Complete your purchase at checkout.
  2. You will receive a confirmation email containing your download link.
  3. Click the download link — the .ZIP file will download automatically.
  4. Extract the ZIP using WinZip, WinRAR, 7-Zip, or the built-in extractor on Windows or macOS.
  5. Select the file format that matches your embroidery machine.

Note: Download links are valid for 30 days and can be used up to 5 times. We recommend saving the files to your device or cloud storage after downloading.

🧵 How to Import the Design to Your Machine

  1. Copy the correct format file (e.g., .PES for Brother machines) to a USB flash drive.
  2. Insert the USB into your embroidery machine.
  3. Select the design from your machine's menu and adjust the size and position as needed.
  4. Hoop your fabric with the appropriate stabilizer.
  5. Start embroidering!

For machines connected directly to a computer (such as Brother PE-Design), import the file through your machine's bundled software.

📐 Design Sizes

Each product listing shows the design size in millimeters (mm) and the stitch count. Please verify that the design size fits within your machine's hoop area before purchasing.

Common sizes available:

  • Small – up to 100 x 100 mm
  • Medium – up to 150 x 150 mm
  • Large – up to 200 x 200 mm or larger

🔄 Refund Policy for Digital Goods

Because digital files are instantly accessible after purchase, we do not offer refunds once a file has been successfully downloaded.

However, we are committed to your satisfaction:

  • If your file is corrupted or cannot be opened, we will resend a working file at no charge.
  • If the design does not match the product description, contact us within 7 days and we will resolve it.
  • For Custom Digitizing orders, revisions are available as agreed at the time of order.
